The Mission Center Nonprofit Services Welcomes Ken Miller to the Team

Ken Miller has joined The Mission Center Nonprofit Services at the Chief Executive Officer. Ken recently retired after 42 years of work in public education. During that time he served as a teacher, principal, business manager, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent for several public school districts in Illinois. In addition to his professional experience as an educator, Ken has also been active in the non-profit sector, serving in many capacities with the United Ways of Southwestern Illinois and Greater St. Louis. Ken has served as a board member for both the Southwest Illinois Division and the Greater St. Louis United Ways and volunteered as a community investment panel chair for the Southwest Illinois Division for many years. In that capacity he had the opportunity to interact with many of the member agencies in that area.Ken also serves on the Board of Directors for Coordinated Youth and Human Services in Granite City, chaired the Board of Directors for the Wood River Township Hospital for many years and has been an elected official serving on the board of trustees of his hometown of St Jacob, Illinois.Ken holds undergraduate degrees in mathematics and English, a Master’s Degree in English and a Specialist in Education Administration Degree, all from Eastern Illinois University.
